Framed Bread Linen, Black

In restaurants in France and Belgium, the first thing that goes on the table is a wicker basket of bread. These baskets are lined with linen and are usually oval or round. We buy the old baskets and take the linen out. They acquire an awesome patina from the oils and ingredients of the bread transferring onto the linen. We cut the linen piece and frame them in a black frame with no glass so you can see the amazing texture. Each one is unique and retains their own story.
